I’ve always loved Fiesta Medals. I made my first medal back in 2015 for my SA Flavor blog to rave reviews and was a cult favorite. Since then, I have gone on to make medals for many maniacs in the Fiesta Medal community as well as businesses.
I noticed that from February to April, Fiesta Medal mania began taking over my main SA Flavor food and culture blog, so in 2018 I decided to start this separate site to make it easier for my readers. My foodies could go to the food blog and my Fiesta Medal Maniacs could come to this separate blog. And if you love Fiesta Medals and tacos, I hope you check out both!
If you want to stay in the know of when SA Flavor Fiesta Medals come out (and when we are able to restock some of the more popular ones *ahem* *Ghost Tracks* *ahem*), I’d encourage you to sign up for our email newsletter—you’ll have the option to get info on Fiesta Medals as well as some of the food in town. Just check the box for the items that interest you. And don’t worry, we never spam or share your address, and only promise to send you the best information and stories!
About the SA Flavor Fiesta Medals
SA Flavor has a unique business model when it comes to creating Fiesta Medals for maniacs active in the medal community. I select some of my favorite maniacs and work with them to create an amazing piece of art that showcases who they are, and it is a win-win-win situation. Each of our individual medal creators get 100 medals at a very low price, I get the ability to sell the Fiesta Medals on my online store and the creator picks a charity where a dollar is donated for every medal sale. NOTE: this option is only open to the maniacs that I hand select, see active at events and ask to participate.
In 2017, SA raised close to $8,000 for eight different charities and look to grow more this year. All of our SA Flavor Fiesta Medals are available in our online store for purchase here. We are proud to have created a business model that helps every win! Party with a purpose, y’all! You can check out all the stories of the SA Flavor Fiesta Medal creators here.
Creating Local Business Fiesta Medals
This year is the first year that we’ve partnered with local businesses to create their Fiesta Medals as well! The best form of marketing around March and April is a Fiesta Medal—but it is much more than having your logo. You have to develop a design that truly captures who you are as a business.
SA Flavor can provide wholesale pricing that beats out many of the other local manufacturers while letting you lean on our expertise—and very opinionated position—for what makes a solid medal. Furthermore, we’ll guide you for the best ways to get publicity for your Fiesta Medal and will feature it on our blog. Drop me a line at fiesta@saflavor.com if your looking to create a medal for your business.
About SA Flavor
SA Flavor started as an online blog that showcases the best that San Antonio has to offer. Primarily focused on the restaurants and food in San Antonio, the site has evolved to cover different culture, news and events in the Alamo City, in addition to making some of the hottest Fiesta Medals around.
First started in 2009 by Garrett Heath, SA Flavor is one of the longest running independent blogs in the city. While Garrett has a self-professed love for all things Tex-Mex and covered in gravy, he tries to get out of his comfort zone and explore new things as well.
