It is sometimes so easy to get wrapped up in all the activities during Fiesta. But no matter how much fun you are having, it is important that you always remember to be responsible. This is a message Sandee Johns continues to share through her fifth medal in a series that honors the memory of her son Preston Mewhinney who was killed by a drunk driver at the age of 25. Continuing the penguin theme—her son’s favorite animal—this year’s medal highlights her son’s interests for surfing and the beach. You can find Preston’s initials “PBM” printed on the penguin’s surfboard. On the back of the medal, her son’s birth and death date are engraved, as well as the plea, “Don’t drink and drive.” This medal is for sale for $10, but Sandee prefers to trade—she frequents Fiesta trading events. Remember, always be responsible and don’t drink and drive.
