If you think that everyone in San Antonio is in love with Fiesta, there is one resident who isn’t a fan: Pepper the Pug. Owners David Garcia and Rick Gipprich submitted Pepper’s Fiesta medal to our competition and initially I was a little confused because it says, “Pepper hates Fiesta.”
But then it all made sense with their note, which was so good that I had to reproduce it here in full. At the bottom there is information on how to get the medal!
“Pepper Hates It started in 2011 with a pug and a personality. Our loving pet developed a taste for disliking many a thing on television and was vocal about her dismay. We began posting pictures on Facebook and soon enough had a request from dozens of friends and family to create her own page.
If you happen to look up her Facebook account, read the reviews—they explain PLENTY. One fan writes, ‘One of the World’s preeminent Divas and counter-cultural icons, Pepper is nothing to sneeze at, or if you do, you do so at your own risk.’
Pepper sniffs out the flaws and frauds of the entertainment industry with a keen nose while her impeccable hearing and vision ensure that purveyors of drek are silenced under her growls.
Don’t bring anything but your A-game when Pepper’s on watch. Or Pepper will hate you, and that alone will spell doom for wahat remains of your pathetic, little, insignificant, mass-produced, suburban-strip mall, bubble-gum, campy career.
Because if Pepper Hates It, then so shall we all.
