UPDATE 4/25/16: Congrats to the David L. Durbin on winning the the people’s choice for SA Flavor’s Best Personal Fiesta Medal of 2016 in a landslide! Joni Drought came in 2nd place and Sandee Mewhinney Johns was 3rd. Congrats to all our winners and check out the results below!
I love the people who make a personal Fiesta Medals. It’s just a way to put their own stamp on Fiesta and show off a little bit of their personality. And this year, the three finalists in the SA Flavor medal competition brought it.
David L. Durbin created a luchador inspired medal that has a ton of detail that I absolutely love (his scarf makes the outline of the Alamo). Joni Drought handed me one of her cocktail wieners medals at Rivertini that is just a bunch of fun (I mean, two dachshunds in martini glasses!). And Sandee Mewhinney Johns made this beautiful tribute to her late son (never drink and drive people). I’ve narrowed it down to the top three—the winner is up to you! Vote now—the polls for this category closes on 4/24/16 at 8:00 p.m.!

NOTE: All medals were submitted, traded or acquired before the 2016 Fiesta Medal Contest deadline.
